Job Description: The First Nations Forestry Council is seeking two Forestry Workforce Advisors with successful track records to assist and support the Program Manager of Workforce & Industry Relations. Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will fulfill a variety of duties in aid to and support of the Program Manager regarding First Nation Forestry Workforce Development. A central part of the Forestry Workforce Advisor role will be proactive and effective outreach to First Nations communities and members, industry representatives and service providers in his/her regions of responsibility. This represents an important expansion of FNFC’s role in supporting First Nations forestry employment and self-employment in BC.

Job Location: One postion avalible at the North Vancouver office and one position avalible at the Nanaimo office 

Skills Required: Demonstrated experience and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with First Nations, industry representatives and government officials. Experience in project management and program management, and program development, monitoring, evaluation and reporting, particularly for workforce projects, programs and initiatives.
